This wasn't a debate between the two men because all Bush could do was defend himself for his wrongdoings. John Kerry made strong debatable points, and George Bush was left standing at the podium, slouched-over, sounding more like Porky Pig than a presidential leader.

As the old saying goes, the best defense is a great offence. And George Bush lacked a great offense last night, and he's lacked a great offense throughout his war on terror - and that's a reflection of is inability to defend our country.

If the Bush campaign strategy was to let John Kerry pound away on their president, then they succeeded. If they thought that would draw sympathy from the tens-of-thousands who have lost loved ones to his war, then it was George Bush and the Bush campaign that were dead wrong.

Thursday's debate proved that John Kerry can take control of a situation, and that's the kind of leadership our country needs right now and for the next 8 years.

Vote for John Kerry this November!

We Will Never Forget

Today we remember and grieve...

And we will never forget...

With Deepest Sympathy...

I want to extend my deepest sympathy to all of the families who have lost loved ones during the Iraqi War. They state that back in 1991, while under the administration of then president George H. W. Bush, John Kerry broke party ranks in favor of supporting trade status for China. Now nearly 15 years later, the Bush administration has the gall to say that John Kerry "flip flops" because he criticizes today's administration for trading with China. News Flash! It was a very different America and economy 15 year's ago! [Remember: It's the economy stupid?]

But Kerry has not flip-flopped. John Kerry stated this past April: American workers were paying the price for President Bush's weak stance on trade with China and other countries. A "weak stance on trade" means just that - a weak stance.

The Fair Currency Alliance published the first is a series of briefs on June 10, 2004 that stated how China manipulates its currency resulting in damaging impacts on U.S. trade, the Chinese economy, and the global financial system itself. In other words, China is cooking their books! And how does the Bush administration react to this situation? With "flip-flop" attack ads against John Kerry, instead of dealing with the real issue at hand.

Not Homeland Smart

Republicans fail to mention that George W. Bush is the first president since Herbert Hoover to lose jobs during his term. Republicans fail to mention that while under President Bush, a record half-trillion dollar in trade deficits, coupled with a massive fiscal deterioration, has made the United States increasingly reliant on foreign creditors. And the Republicans especially don't want you to know that more than 20 percent of the U.S. public debt is now being held by China and Japan; a total of over 40 percent outside the U.S. alone!

The Real Deal is this - John Kerry and John Edwards have a trade enforcement plan that will impose existing trade agreements, and this will place the financial control our nation back in the hands of American workers. And why will the Kerry-Edwards plan work? It'll work because their plan is plausible and feasible - it's The Real Deal. But don't take my word for it. Download a copy of their plan by clicking the following link: http://www.johnkerry.com/pdf/trade_enforcement.pdf

It's clear the Bush administration is grasping at straws trying to discredit John Kerry. The economy will undoubtedly change over the coming years and those who don't change with it, will become stagnant. And man, is there a stench emanating from the White House today!

The Real Deal

In response to the previous commentary posting, I doubt that you will ever learn how to debate to prove your point - and how can you? I write about facts and in typical Republican fashion, you cloud the issues with smoke and mirrors. Bill Clinton's infidelity has nothing to do with moving America forward and getting our asses out of the sling that George W. Bush put us in today. When Clinton lied, nobody died!

Yes, I have to agree with you that it is a damn miracle that our economy is doing as well as it is, considering who is running and ruining our country today. But your implication that Mr. Clinton's infidelity "left our country in a position where the economy had no way to go but down" is of course as stupid as the remark itself. But I'm not writing this to cloud present issues with those of the past.

The fact is, Bush's blissful selfishness has killed thousands of innocent Afghan, Iranian and Iraqi men, woman, and children, in addition to the nearly 1,000 U.S. troops to date. He's pissed-off those al Qaeda rebels to no end, and his administration is practically pushing us all into another world war! He thinks and acts with brawn and not with his brain, and that's a volatile habit.

Democrats don't blame 9/11 on the Bush administration - we blame him for starting this war. And there's the difference. We hold him accountable for saying he was going after bin Laden, and then switch-hitting to go after Saddam. It was the al Qaeda and not Hussein who were responsible for the 9/11 attacks, and Bush used Saddam as an excuse to go to war. Yes, we did get that evil dictator. However the U.S. cannot become the world's police and apprehend every bastard dictator on the planet!

The fact is, Bush lied. But when Bush lied, a lot of people died and continue to die.

Do not assume, as many Republicans do, that all Democrats are anti-war and don't support our troops. That type of archaic thinking went-out long ago with the Vietnam War. All Democrats, as well as just about every American, strongly supports our troops and will continued to do so until the war's end. The Republicans do not own the exclusive rights to proudly display the flag on one's lapel!

I hate to admit it, but I was one of the first Americans to email The Whitehouse and suggest that we "do as Harry did" and nuke 'em all. Yes, I was steaming mad and I reacted foolishly. And like all Americans and everyone else affected by that tragedy, I'm still pissed-off that those bastards killed all of those innocent people. But barnstorming into countries that we know little about is foolish. And for the Bush administration to continue saying that they will get every one of those [al Qaeda] responsible for the 9/11 attacks is so unrealistic, the entire Bush administration ought to be impeached just for saying it!

Here is The Real Deal

John Kerry is the best choice to lead our Nation for the next 8 years, and John Kerry will lead US out of this war in a non-hostile manner - by using his brains over brawn. And you don't have to take my word for it - you can read about his plan by visiting his Web site: http://www.johnkerry.com/index.html. John Kerry's vision for the future of America is spelled out, and there are no hidden agendas. John Kerry makes no false promises, unlike the Bush administration has done and continues to do.

John Kerry is a leader for the people, and he is the one who will stand by all of the people. John Kerry is America's leader for "We the People."

Knuckleheads Abound!

It's been a while since I posted to this site as I've recently been moving my family from the rich and selfish county of Palm Beach, Florida. But talk about a division of classes!

If you like to see property values rising at a rate of 40% per year, and you don't mind property taxes increasing at a rate equal to that, then go right ahead and move to The Sunshine State. But not me! I have a better plan for my family and it doesn't include Florida, its Republication Governor, or George Bush, Jr.

The previous poster to my February comments section is confused, at best. His Web site (see link) places John Kerry alongside with Jane Fonda. Typical Republican tactics. If one doesn't have the intelligence to argue a point, then attack your opponent! Ahhh... ignorance is bliss.

Those who have been dragging their knuckles on the ground since the dawn of light may still actually believe that bloodshed is the only way to settle a score. Having said that, those same individuals probably beat their children for pissing the floor! But ahhh... ignorance is bliss.

But here's a lowbrow statement that the commenting cave dweller obviously did not think about. No one WANTS war! Not those you have served, and especially not those who have survived.

Here are some facts as of the week of June 13, 2004 from the LA Times:

A group of 26 former senior diplomats and military officials, several of which were appointed to key positions by Republican Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush, plan to issue a joint statement this week arguing that President George W. Bush has damaged America's national security and should be defeated in November. In addition, the group will explicitly condemn Bush's foreign policy!

Now if you want to keep on beating your war drum, then go right ahead. Could Kerry and Edwards become running mates? Not likely according to several Kerry advisors, who say Edwards' strength appears to lack the clout with Southern voters.

To me, it's important who John Kerry chooses as his running mate. But in the end, all that really matters is when John Kerry beats George Dubya at the polls this November! Onward to the White House! Dean has hopes of continuing to run in California and New York, out of respect for his supporters, but strategists have designs on convincing him differently.

Although Edwards came in as a close second, John Kerry commanded the lead with 40% of the vote, compared to 34% for Edwards and only 18% for Dean. Apparently the swing vote of Independents along with the Republicans voters in Wisconsin had a lot to do with Edwards’ results.

But John Kerry has now claimed 15 victories out of 17 contests, and that’s a good sign of who America wants our next president to be! Killing the 65 programs would save a projected $4.9 billion, which is a small amount compared to this year's record $521-billion deficit.

All the while, Bush's office declined to release a complete list of the programs being killed, leaving educational activists and housing and labor programs scrambling to learn the fate of their favorite endeavors. In addition, the White House reports that an additional 63 "major" programs faced significant spending reductions, including a $6-million program to improve rural housing and a $170-million initiative to promote technology development.

The National Education Association lambasted Bush for what it said was insufficient education funding, and the group's president was profoundly disappointed that Bush had proposed the smallest increase for education in seven years -- especially at a time when schools and states are being hammered by budget cutbacks and rising demands.

Let's get America back on track! Whether you agree with abortion or not, the result is devastating for the health of the world's poorest women.

11: Bush reveres a 1998 Clinton administration position choosing not to regulate auto emissions claiming carbon dioxide isn't a pollutant (hello???).

12: Under Bush, the Pentagon cut imminent danger pay and family separation pay, even while soldiers die every day in Iraq and even more are separated from their families (evil or what???!).

13: Under the guise of Homeland Security, Bush's faith-based initiative permits discrimination in the provision of federal social services.

14: Under the guise of Homeland Security, the FBI can now instantly access businesses to search files without the approval of a judge or jury.

15: New York Times: 7/29/03: Bush creates a system where people can invest in the possibility of terror attacks and international upheaval (what???).

16: Bush uses EPA funds to make campaign ads, running Spanish-language ads on radio touting Bush's environmental policies.

17: Bush proposes loosening protections of endangered animals which lifts restrictions on killing and trading endangered species of foreign animals (After all, why would he care about animals in other countries anyway?).

18: There have been NO weapons of mass destruction found in Iraq, over 8,000 un-named dead have been reported, along with hundreds of American troops as well.

Want to read more???
